Innovative LV switchgear for EV Charging
The EvoPillar™ is a fully welded IP53 feeder pillar, designed & built to BS EN 61439-7, with current ratings up to 3200Amps. Available in a range of three models, each of a modular design and configurable to the particular needs of your EV installation, the EvoPillar™ provides reliable LV power distribution to your EV scheme.

All EvoPillars™ are factory-built and tested BS EN 61439-7 and shipped to the site as complete units ready for installation. Standard and bespoke NAL bases are available for the EvoPillar™ range. The all-in-one EvoPillar™ does away with the requirement for a separate GRP enclosure, with a compact footprint for sites where space is at a premium.

The EvoPillar™ can be fed from your existing site electrical infrastructure, or directly from the DNO supply, with the supply authority end-box and meter accommodated within the feeder pillar. Each EvoPillar™ model is designed to optimise the power that can be reliably delivered to the charge points, taking into account temperature rise considerations, with MCCB or MCB devices specified and configured to permit maximum charge point loading without loss of service from faults or overloads.

EV Charging Power Distribution
The EvoPillar™ Din standard fully integrated multi-rail design can be configured to accommodate any combination of MCB’s and RCBO’s. Din rail can be easily replaced with modular back plates to accommodate BMS, energy metering or other equipment such as surge arrestors. With the doors opened, devices are accessible through removable covers, ensuring maximum operator safety and service durability of the panel.
EVOpillar™ Product Range
Our smallest frame-size EvoPillar™ is rated up to 630A and can be configured for MCCB or MCB distribution to EV chargers. It is available as a front access-only version, or double-sided, with the DNO cut-out & metering head provided and pre-wired within the feeder pillar. Typically suited for up to 12 x 22kW fast chargers or 2 x Up to 150kW EV charger supplies. Earth leakage protection can be included if required.
The mid-sized EvoPillar™ is rated up to 1600A and is typically used in larger commercial EV installations, such as private destination charger schemes (Leisure centres/ garden centres etc.) or in EV Bus depots. The EvoPillar™ can be equipped with CT links & meter sections for DNO or iDNO connection configured & pre-wired for ease of installation. Outgoing ways are typically MCCB’s (3P or 4P) at 400A or 630A rating, and adjustable earth leakage protection can be provided on the incomer and outgoing ways as required.
Our largest EvoPillar™ is rated up to 3200A and is typically used in high-power installations, such as EV Bus charging. DNO or iDNO CT’s & metering can be provided, and outgoing ways can be rated up to 20 x 400A MCCB’s with optional earth leakage protection. The Evo2500/ 3200A has an ACB incomer, and provision for mobile generator connection via interlocked ‘Powerlock’ connectors is a commonly specified option.
Our latest EvoPillar™ innovation is the EvoIsland™ managed power solution which enhances all of the available EvoPillar™ models with the following add-on technology:
EvoLink™, providing remote asset management & engineering diagnostics of the EvoPillar™, via a PLC and HMI interface.
EvoPack™, providing up to a 25% power boost to EV chargers, delivered directly from battery back-up housed within a double-sided EvoPillar™.
EvoLight™, providing direct integration with local solar PV, charging the EvoPack™ when charge points are not on load, and maximising available EV charge power at any given time.

The EvoIsland™ is our latest managed power solution innovation and enhancement to our EvoPillar™ product. It comprises three unique features which enable real-time engineering diagnostics, battery back up, power boost and solar integrations.

EvoPillar™ general technical data.
EvoPillar™ is designed with ease of installation and maintenance in mind. The outgoing gland plate is pre-punched with 25mm hole suitable for 10mm & 16mm 4C armoured cables. All devices are prewired to terminal rail with 16mm spring loaded quick connect terminals, capable of accepting 6mm to 16mm cables. An earth bar runs the length of the kiosk fitted with spring-loaded quick-connect terminals.
Access to equipment for maintenance is via removable covers. All of our distribution pillars can be connected directly to site-wide electrical distribution infrastructure or directly from the DNO network. Our EVO-DNO are designed in a back-to-back configuration, with the DNO cut-out and metering housed on one side and your EV distribution equipment on the other side, reducing the overall footprint of the installation.
